Cement Tile Care Guide:

Grout Choice: Avoid dark or colored grouts that can stain even sealed tiles. Test first if necessary.

Prep and Cleaning: Clean with water and Sigma Cellulose Sponge. Sand scratches. Use Monestir Residue Cleaner before sealing. Rinse and dry before sealing.

Pre-Fixing Prep: Soak or dampen tiles before fixing to prevent moisture absorption from adhesive. Prime absorbent surfaces with Botament D1.

Sealing Tips: Apply sealer generously in 2-4 coats. Rub evenly with cloth, avoiding excess. Test adequate sealing by color change.

Alternative Sealing: Seal before fixing using Bellota Sprayer, soaking for 2 hours. Use Monestir Wet Effect Protector post-fixing.

Grout Application: Choose gray/light gray grouts (Deko Flex Grey, Manhattan). Grout small sections promptly.

Handling Marks: Light sandpaper removes post-sealing marks. Reseal area afterward.

Stain Removal: Monestir Residue Cleaner for stains, Monestir Degreaser for oily marks and old sealer.

Laticrete Stonetech Heavy Duty Sealer: Offers a natural finish with minimal odor, water-based formula.

Laticrete Bulletproof Sealer: Premium option with extended effectiveness, water-based with a natural finish and low odor.

Monestir Wet Effect Protector: Creates a glossy finish, enhancing the tile's appearance while facilitating easier cleaning.

Monestir Ecologic Liquid Wax: A traditional, durable option with a soft finish. Ideal for those with allergies. For this, apply Laticrete Stonetech heavy duty sealer or Laticrete Bulletproof Sealer first, then use Liquid Wax as a finish coat. The liquid wax can also be mixed with water for periodic cleaning to maintain the natural sheen.

For optimal preservation of sealer enhancing properties, we recommend using a gentle, neutral soap like our Monestir Liquid Wax / Waxwash. Avoid the use of acidic or aggressive cleaners. If dealing with stains, they can be effectively cleaned using a solvent or a scouring pad.
